The Las Vegas Monorail is My personal favorite way to move around on the Strip. It is always clean and well lit. There is normally little wait time and the ride is very fast. You can get from MGM to SLS for one low fare that is much cheaper than a taxi and much more enjoyable. And most of the time even faster.
The Las Vegas Monorail runs between the SLS and the MGM Grand. Pricing is:
5.00 dollars per ride
12 dollars for a 24 hour pass reduced price of 12.00 dollars is offered right now.
22 dollars for a 2 day pass.
28 dollars for a 3 day pass. best deal for sure.

Convenient to the back entrance to all hotels on the east side of the strip between the Sahara (Now SLS) and MGM. When the strip traffic is crawling you can fly right over it using this service. We recommend this service if you are staying at the north end of the strip, you can get to the central and south end quickly. They say you wont wait more than 7 minutes although it can actually be as much as 12 minutes, its still very good service. Even though the Sahara is now closed, the Monorail still stops there to serve the North end of the Strip. The only time I would advise not to use the Monorail is when there is a huge convention in Vegas, like the CES show in January, at that time the monorail is very over crowded.
Hours of operation:
Monday - Thursday 7am-2am
Friday - Sunday 7am-3am
You can buy tickets in advance but there is no benefit to since there is never a line and there is no discount at the official Las Vegas Monorail website.
