Slap on the wrist for killing birds at Flamingo, Las Vegas will surely get protest from PETA. A lot of People feel like PETA is a little extreme but in this case We hope Peta comes out firing. The incident happened October 12, 2012 at the Flamingo Wildlife Habitat. The three assholes were chasing the birds and one of the ones They caught was a 14 year old very rare helmeted guinea fowl. They cut the bird's head off and were throwing it around as they were laughing. |
Hazhir Kargaran, 26, pleaded no contest this week to misdemeanor charges of instigating an act of animal cruelty, malicious destruction of property and trespassing and was sentenced to two days in jail and 48 hours community service.
Eric Cuellar, 24, pleaded guilty earlier this year and was fined $200 and sentenced to 48 hours of community service for instigating animal cruelty.
Justin Teixeira, 24, also a recent graduate, accused of actually beheading the bird with his hands, pleaded not guilty and will go to trial, according to the Associated Press. His trial is scheduled to begin this year.
